I heard about scalp massage on my trip to india, and those guys swear by the great abilities of scalp massage. It never made sense to me as i thought blood still circulates there.
Little did I know that stagnant blood and fresh blood are two different things. My acupuncturist explained this to me and since then, I started scalp massage every single day without fail. Sometimes I use an oil, sometimes I massage just dry – with my finger tips in all cases, gently at first, and build up speed and amount of pressure.
I did get little bumps after a day or two, but this is perfectly normal and does happen. Just avoid the area and massage the other areas. And wash with a good shampoo.
If you massage till the scalp feels like more oils have been released, then you are doing great! My hair has never felt this thick since, and its only been 4 or 5 weeks maximum of doing it, and I don’t even feel like I am massaging anymore as I usually do it when watching tv or something, or just before bed.29th October 2015 at 9:38 pm #130

I started scalp massage a while ago, and totally see how this is under-rated by many peeps out there.
