Does anyone have experience with using the Mane n Tail shampoo? I am looking for users of this forum to tell me, not new users as i rather trust the people here about a review for something like this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.16th November 2015 at 9:16 pm #171
Mane and tail is a horse shampoo and its designed to increase the shaft of the hair to make the horse tails look big and fluffy. its not designed to increase speed of hair growth or anything, altho it seems they are marketing it this way now as it can seem like you have increased hair growth for a while.
i personally won’t use a shampoo like that. if you have thinning hair, or trying to grow longer hair, it is better you do the things you need to do, to grow the hair, from supplements to scalp exercises and so on, but not this.16th November 2015 at 9:20 pm #172
have to agree with chris on that. i won’t use it simply on that basis. as it doesnt actually work to increase hair growth or thickness.18th November 2015 at 12:54 pm #175
If you need a shampoo product then why not use the Taoist soap instead? it works for actually growing the hair and also thickening the hair shaft, rather than inflating it it and causing inflammation (which is what makes you loose hair in the first place!)26th November 2015 at 9:56 pm #180
Is that why you have such nice hair Emiliana?26th November 2015 at 9:57 pm #181
Yes of course! and also good genes =P4th December 2015 at 1:32 am #192
yeah i had a feeling about that, so i didnt buy it. is there anything else out there that does what mane n tail claim to do, but for real instead of just artifically enhance hair?7th December 2015 at 8:15 pm #195
i have tried this but it doesn’t really work; i feel silly to try horse shampoo on myself.9th December 2015 at 8:27 pm #197
Hahahaha I never knew I would ever read something about horse shampoo for human hair and thickening. what is the world coming to!
Of course its an obvious repackaging just to make sales. wake the heck up people!11th January 2016 at 10:05 am #268
If you just think about it, they use it for horse hair. Horses don’t suffer hair loss. they just use the shampoo to make the strand thicker; problem is, this can do that for humans, but it will increase inflammation and actually cause hair loss in the long term use – unless you use it occasionally for a boost.
that’s my 2 cents anyway17th January 2016 at 7:20 am #270
Yeah it makes sense that its use was horsehair, and repackaged for human hair.
Many people use it tho, i won’t use it long term.18th January 2016 at 11:40 am #272
Wow, thats a lot of good information about mane n tail shampoo. I never knew this and thought of it that way. thank you guys.
I won’t use it now. But what do you guys recommend using then?20th January 2016 at 8:55 am #274
Many people have successfully used the following:
- Scalp massage for 30 minutes daily
- Taoist Soap for scalp
- SLS Organic Shampoo for hair
- Vitamin B complex daily
- Niacin 100mg Daily
- Exercise to make you breathless 10 minutes a day to boost circulation
I have personally gotten results from just doing the above.
