Just wanted to post my results on the alpecin. So far i have been using it for 3 weeks and it makes the hair feel nice, but i don’t think it’s helping with hair growth or anything.
I was wondering why caffeine would help hair growth anyway. I got my bottle at boots. My mother also uses it and likes it, but to be honest, at this point results don’t seem promising and still have a lot of hair on the bed.29th October 2015 at 7:28 pm #115
i tried them too, and wasn’t really that impressed with it as got no results16th November 2015 at 12:40 pm #159
the study they conducted was based on flaws totally is what i read. as they did the experiment on hair that is on a petri dish, and this doesn’t let the hair get affected by hormones or stress so no point.
i would reccomend trying the Taoist soap, as discussed on this thread: http://www.hairlossforum.org/forums/topic/taoist-soap-experiment/
The guy is doing an experiement with it, but i know it works for helping with hair thinning problems. you should also build a good regime so that you get permanent and real results faster.16th November 2015 at 9:27 pm #173
some people like the shampoo itself, but it doesnt actually work for hair growth. people leaving positive reviews are mostly based on the fact they like the shampoo itself, but they don’t actually get results.
i know this because my mom and sister both have used it and talk about it, but they themselves admit it doesnt work for hair growth or speed or anything.18th February 2016 at 2:25 am #323
tried the alpecin shampoo for 4 months. realized it was not for actual hair growth, but help hair look thicker, but no regrowth or stopping of hair loss.
so not gonna use it anymore. but it’s an okay shampoo.28th March 2016 at 7:05 pm #413
I realized after just doing a google search, that this is not the direction I want to be heading, so that’s why never returned to this thread i opened until now, but thank you for all your replies, sorry for getting back so late.28th March 2016 at 8:06 pm #412
alpecin shampoo is based on false and fabricated studies done… they did an apparent study which was on a vitro dish, which does not include effects of hormones and fats in the body and how they affect hair.
Also, they even admitted that caffeine reduces blood flow to the scalp… which says a lot on its own.
